Yogic Counselling & Ayurvedic Wellness

kindle the spark of Spirit within...

“The goal of yoga science is to calm the mind, so that without distortion it may hear the infallible counsel of the Inner Voice.”.

Paramahansa Yogananda

The Way of the Lotus

Nature is a great teacher and exemplar. It shows us how to be in the world and the truth of our reality. When we are disconnected from our Self and Nature we suffer. Connecting with nature and its messages is a powerful healer and creative source that unlocks our inner wisdom and reconnects us to life and its beauty.

The lotus is an inspiring metaphor for the human experience - its transition from mud to sky, its struggle to grow through the darkness, willingness to bloom and surrender to its cycles.

There are times we find ourselves in uncertainty, transition and discomfort - our dark places. These times hold great potential and are necessary for us to grow beyond our current expression. During these times it is important to connect with your depths, cultivate willpower and grow towards the light.

I invite you to take time and space to follow the way of the lotus. To develop awareness and connect with our light. To grow through muddy waters and find your way to bloom.

Hanuman - The Great Heroic Heart

A Story of Hanuman

When the Demon God Ravana (a dark and lower aspect of our self), captures Sita (the embodiment of purity and divine love), Hanuman (Mana Vira the great heroic heart), vows to aid in her rescue.

In order to reach Sita, Hanuman has to cross a vast ocean - the ocean of delusion. Overcome with emotion and self doubt at the task of crossing such a long and treacherous sea, Hanuman begins to feel defeated.

Jambavan, the king of the bears (representing our mentors and teachers) sees Hanuman in his doubt and offers counsel. Jambanca reminds Hanuman of who he really is and of his unlimited potential.

Hanuman 'hears the call' and arises. He performs Pranayama and grows to a tremendous size but also becomes as light as feather. This symbolises that Hanuman was filled with great knowledge and wisdom, but devoid of the burden of the ego. In this state he was able to easily jump across the ocean and be victorious.

Jai Hanuman

Victory Hanuman

Hanuman makes the impossible possible. He is the Son of the Wind, the Supreme Bhakti and the Student of the Sun. He shows us that with devotion, wisdom and willpower anything is possible. Hanuman is the presiding deity of LotusSky Wellness Centre. May His grace afford the highest healing and transformation. Victory to Hanuman!

Our existence is a dance of Spirit and Nature. These elements hold us and are integral in all healing.
